hours of community service are completed each year by our high school students.
Demonstrating your faith can manifest in diverse ways, and a profound expression is found in serving those within your community—a principle embodied by Jesus himself, who declared, "I came not to be served but to serve" (Matthew 20:28). At Bishop Reicher, we are dedicated to embodying the kindness and magnanimity of Christ by actively engaging in acts of service, instilling a lifelong commitment to community service.
Our commitment begins early, with students from Pre-K to 6th grade participating in age-appropriate community projects. This involvement allows them to experience the profound joy and grace that accompanies a heart dedicated to serving others. Moving into middle school, students are encouraged to complete a minimum of 10 hours of community service each year, a target that many surpass. High school students, with a set annual goal of 25 hours, consistently surpass expectations, collectively contributing over 6500 community service hours each year.
In essence, our approach at Bishop Reicher Catholic School not only nurtures a spirit of service but also sets a high standard for our students, inspiring them to exceed the mandated service hours and actively contribute to the well-being of our community.
